Individual Work
This project envisions the next 25 years of development in False Creek Flats as a strategic response to future changes and emerging opportunities. For over a century, this vital economic hub has undergone two major cycles of transformation while maintaining its essential role in Vancouver’s industrial ecosystem.
Today, despite its strategic location near the Port of Vancouver, the area faces challenges of fragmentation and underutilization. With industrial land scarce citywide, these parcels remain irreplaceable assets for urban industrial and supply chain resilience.
This project aims to harmonize the preservation of freight rail operations and the Flats’ essential industrial functions with thoughtful revitalization in the periphery that enhances land use efficiency and urban connectivity, strengthening the central core of Flats’ resilience in an ever-evolving world.
